Resolution
Whereas:	The Anderson United Methodist Church has one of its goals to impact the Metro Jackson Community through Outreach Ministry.
Whereas:	The Metro Jackson Community provides a mission field and many challenges in public housing, poverty, low test scores, latch key kids, crime and violence.
Whereas:	The Gospel mandates that the church be about the business of mission to a hurting and hungry world.
Therefore, be it resolved that the Anderson U.M.C., organize the Anderson Development Foundation, as a Faith based organization, whose responsibility is to seek out and secure funding and grants to support the Outreach Ministry. This foundation will be comprised of twelve members of whom three must be non-Anderson members, but persons from the Metro Area. The chairperson of the foundation will be a voting member of the Administrative Board. Therefore, be it resolved that this Foundation be organized with the following Board members and be allowed to assume its duties, such as, setting goals, developing a vision statement, and at once in order to provide funding for summer programs.
